Micromax A110 Canvas 2 Review

Micromax has unveiled another smart phone in the line of mid range Phablets and also Canvas called Micromax A110 Canvas 2. It is preferably known as Canvas 2 more than its total name as Canvas is already popular in local area. As with the Canvas does Micromax maintained the same hype in case of Canvas 2? Let us check out whether it does or not.

Design :

It is not a surprising thing but an obvious thing with the smart phones to have a pretty much big body and hefty quality. The body dimensions are 5.79 inches tall, 3.01 inches wide and its thickness is about 0.38 inches. Its weighs all about 168 g which is okay and we don’t feel too heavy to carry it.

They are wrapped in a plastic chassis and which are offered in two basic colors namely black and white. The rear part is fitted with camera lens and a dual-LED flash and the speaker grille at the bottom. The front part is very simple with three soft keys at the bottom of black screen and top equipped with front facing camera lens and sensors. The curved rectangular edged sides end up with the volume rocker and power button on either sides, the top with the head phone jack and USB port. The design and build quality is spectacular and even more hefty than the previous versions.

Display :

The 5 inch LCD display on the front part gives out sharp presentation with a resolution of 854×480 pixels. The display is exceptionally happy even in the presence of sunlight and the pixel density is about 196 ppi. The IPS technology helps to get the balanced viewing angles and is same at every angle. The multi touch system is protected from scratches and external noise.

Software and Hardware :

The Canvas 2 is boasted with 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Android Version which is now can also be upgraded to 4.1 Jelly Bean version. The interface is excellent and the apps and the widgets are exceptionally good and can be customized to some extent.

The hardware configuration is as 1 GHz dual core processor with MediaTek MT6577 chipset. The internal memory is equipped with 4 GB in which 2 GB is for user available and the RAM support is extended by 512 MB memory. The micro SD card slot memory is fitted up to 32 GB for the HD movie lovers it may be a good thing.

Battery :

The 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery counts up to a good battery backup and the test results show as the stand by time is about 180 hours and the talk time is about 5 hours and it is not a good thing that it is only for the moderate users to get better battery life.

Camera :

The camera features are pretty much good with an 8 MP camera which is powered with dual LED flash. The options provided to it like face detection, Geo-tagging and touch focus are fine. The settings and the other modes like macro panorama etc. gives out the best shot. The shots are little noisy under dim light but the presence of dual LED flash betters to some extent.

The secondary camera is a low resolution lens with only VGA or 0.3 MP quality which okay for video calling and self shots. The video capture is also good at HD quality at 1080 pixels and it can be recorded for decent time.

Features :

The connectivity features are fine with the presence of Bluetooth, WI-FI, USB and the hotspot system is even better and good in use. The 3G network connectivity is good for the SIMs.

The multimedia features are induced with video and audio play backs with full HD quality and good sound quality. The games we like to play should be of low end quality as the processor does not support hard core games.

You will feel that is a better hand set with all the necessary apps and features like the calendar, clock, alarm etc. and the social networking sites and the internet sites like Gmail, You Tube, Face book, twitter and the Google apps like Google Maps, GTalk, Google Search and many more apps that really come into work for the consumers. This is really a good factor that it supports all the play backs and the high end apps that a customer looks forward to use.

Call Off :

In a price of 10000 rupees app. one would say that this is the best smart phone to have all the smart phone features and high end specs to hang out with. If the brand name is not the matter with you then Micromax A110 Canvas 2 is the best phone you can afford and enjoy with the latest apps and features that really amuses the user.
